FOOD OF THE MONTH:  Boxed Mac'n Cheese

REMINDER:
There will be a SPRC meeting on Tuesday (TONIGHT!!) March 11th at 7:00pm in the Acts Class (Room 221).  Thanks, Jeannie Davenport.

NEW MEN'S BIBLE STUDY
The Wednesday night men's Bible Study group will be studying The Handwriting on the Wall by David Jeremiah.  Dr. Jeremiah shows how an understanding of prophecy in the Book of Daniel opens a pathway to dynamic, faithful living today  with confidence and hope for the future.  There will be weekly meetings for 31 weeks.  The cost of 3 study guides are $24 and the book is $13.  The meetings are from 7:00-8:15 on Wednesday nights.   If you have any questions or are interested, please call Ricky Hines at 772-2383.

WHERE CAN I SIT????
Some question has come up as to what is going to happen on Wednesday when we can't fit/sit any more people in the sanctuary??  Special seating, of course, will be reserved for the family up front.  Special seating has been arranged, in the choir loft, for The Bible Class (Moreland's Sunday School class) to sit as a group.  We will get as many people in the sanctuary as possible.  Please remember however, we do not have any capability to broadcast this service either visually or audibly to another location in our facility.  Just giving everyone a head's up on this one...........

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP??
A listing of ways that folks can help for the Celebration of Life service here tomorrow, for Moreland, was sent out yesterday.  If you did not get it, please let me know and I will forward it to you, but basically if you simply speak with/e-mail Martha, you will be covered..........

WHAT ABOUT THE MEN'S SCHOLARSHIP????
What's the latest word on this offering of financial assistance by the Men's Bible Class.  Here is Louis Stevens with down to the wire info:  Al,  Please include this in your next  CC.  The deadline for submitting applications for the men's Bible Class scholarships is Mar. 30, 2008.  All applications must be received by the Men's Bible Class on or before Mar. 30, 2008.   Thanks,  Louis Stevens.

SHOCKING NEWS!!!
With cutting edge technology like the internet, information is able to get in more people's hands at the most rapid amount of time than at any time in man's history on earth.
Last week, with the passing of Moreland, we know the "shock" value of putting this info out like we did.  We had to weigh the options of waiting or moving......IN MOST CASES, we are going to opt for moving.  We wanted Moreland's church family to be made aware quickly, so that prayers could commence for the family.  We needed ya'll to know quickly so that you the "ministers" of the fellowship, could start ministering to this family in ONLY a way that you could do.  We needed to get this info in your hands so that mobilization of folks to help, could begin right then.  We apologize to any of you that this info "shocked."  We did everything we could to dampen the blow.  Thanks for your understanding on this.

MARY MAGDALENE CIRCLE:
The Mary Magdalene Circle is a service oriented circle that serves on various projects and services throughout the year.  We chose the name Mary Magdalene because of the passion Mary had for Christ. Our desire is to give our lives to Jesus and to follow him closely as Mary did, and to allow God to change us so we'll become more like him.  We communicate primarily through emails and meetings, which are held on the fourth Saturday of each month at 5:30. We welcome all women to come and join us for a wonderful time of fellowship as we exchange thoughts, prayers, and ideas on current and future service projects.  Our next scheduled meeting is on Saturday, April 26th in the fellowship hall at 5:30. For further information please contact Carlene Lucas at 779-3654 or email Clucas01@msn.com.

OH, WHO CARES????
You remember the Carter Pepper fundraiser that was held this past Friday in which Moreland was to be helping??  Remember we sent out the plea for you folks to go and help where you could and support it as you were led, not only in helping this child but in memory/honor of Moreland???  Gary Wood, one of the main coordinators of this event, called the church on Monday morning and wanted to give HIGH praise to you folks!!!  Because of your efforts (and of course the efforts of others), over $10,250.00 was raised to help with medical expenses for this child!!!!!  And that's $10,250.00 for SPAGHETTI!!!!!!!  Mr. Wood was so taken by your acts of kindness to this family that he has volunteered to help where he can with our upcoming Relay for Life dinner here at the church!!!!  So again I ask: "Who Cares???"  Well, it seems like folks at Garner church do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
