CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL
teachers and PARENTS of Little Apostles: Steve "Mr. Music," Wheltle will be coming by your child's SS class on THIS Sunday at around 10 AM to escort the Little Apostle's choir up to the sanctuary for "last time" practice, before the children sing in the 11 AM worship hour THIS SUNDAY!!!!
KA-BOOM!!! WHERE DID ALL THOSE
folks come from last night!!!! Chairs had to be rented and there was seating for nearly 500 at last night's Garner Educational Foundation's "Stars on Stage," event here at the church. And as is the case with so many of you at Garner Methodist, several of the board members of GEF are members of our believers fellowship here at Garner. If you want to see what GEF is all about and what/who they represent, here is a great way to do so:

OK, LET'S DO THIS ONE MORE TIME:
kathleen@garnerumc.org is NO LONGER an active e-mail address.
That is why e-mails sent to this address are kicked back....
Kathy don't work here no more......Address above won't, can't, don't work.
BUT....If you are needing to schedule something on the reservation calendar, Martha IS the one that can help you with this. You may either call Martha at the church (and with her fluid schedule, that may be like the proverbial shot in the dark) OR you may
e-mail Martha with your request at the following address:
martha.liles@garnerumc.org
AND CONTINUING IN THIS VEIN: Remember that THURSDAYS is the cut off pay requests to be in the office. And at that time, AMY CHALK will be processing checks to go out on Monday (at the latest).
Can you hear me now???

MISSION TRIP STILL SEEKING A COOK!!!
Calling all cooks!!! The Katrina Mission team in D'Iberville, MS will be working May 12-16 is going to come back every night hungry!!! And right now they will starve because there is no one in the kitchen. We have a great crew of workers, including about eight college students. There will be two other churches sharing the space, Arkansas and Apex, and maybe we could beg to have them cook for us but I am sure with all the great cooks we have they would be thrilled to have us bring one or two people to help keep the troops from starving. Katrina missions are a great experience you will get to meet people from other areas and help those in need that are still suffering after Katrina. If you are interested and by the way Thursday night I will be cooking seafood for you, please call Jerry Leeman 851-8516 or rleeman1@nc.rr.com Thanks!! Jerry Leeman
19 APRIL, "OUTSIDE" SPRING
clean up day.....And on this day, we will see where the janitor is lacking on keeping up the grounds of the church.....Hopefully this won't be the case.....too bad......But three dump truck loads of mulch are supposed to be coming, so wheel barrows, pitch forks,
manure forks, will be needed on this day. A gas powered edger would be a good thing as well, along with gas powered blowers.
REMEMBER: Even though the drought has lessened in our area it is still the policy of the City of Raleigh that NO DRINKING WATER (that for which comes out'en a pipe that is hooked to the city water system) CANNOT be used to wash, clean, wash down, spray upon any dirty surface outside.
