CAN YOU SIMPLY SIT AND EAT??
Can you smile?? Can you say, "What up??" Then Joe Koon has one of the greatest opportunities for you!!! "Golf, yard work, sporting event, working on your car, time with your family, relaxing on a sunny afternoon, or a long list of other things you do or want to do or someone wants you to do on beautiful Saturday afternoon. That is exactly what we and the Lord are asking you to give up to come and help with HOPE ministry. We need MEN, women too, but we need men to do the heavy lifting. Actually, we need men to come eat and drink and just "be there". Seriously, just be there. There's stuff to do, but just being there is enough. If interested it trying out HOPE and you can do even one Saturday, please see the hallway sheet or call email Joe. (919) 832-7854 or joe_koon@agilent.com.

CHURCH COUNCIL TO HOLD
Their meeting on THIS SUNDAY night at 7:30 PM in The Bible Class Room. All voting members of the board are begged and encouraged to attend.
OH WHY?? WHAT DOES IT REALLY
Matter?? For every step we sometimes seem to make forward in ministry outreach, it seems we take 10 back…..But wait…..What is that???? A voice of "THANKS??" "crying in the wilderness???"
Here you go, something that we sometimes fail to hear, fail to recognize, fail to give God glory for. Shut up, Al, here's Joe:
"GUMC and HOPE are having an impact on the homeless. Many positive examples, but won't go through them here. Just wanted you to know that and to say THANK YOU for making HOPE possible! There continues to be so many people helping in so many ways it is truly amazing and truly is the work of our Father in action. People come and help on Saturdays directly with the folks. People provide food of all types. People provide clothes and items needed for the showers. People provide things they need to try to make a shelter. People provide money for our supplies. People pray for these folks and this ministry. So many people that are doing so much to make HOPE ministry able to do what it's doing. It's not eliminating homeless. It's not curing anyone of anything. It's not solving unemployment so these folks can work. It's not a lot of things. But it is doing what Jesus Christ wanted us to do – caring for our brothers and sisters in need. YOU are making that possible. THANK YOU! Joe Koon.
