Children in grades K-5 are invited to join us for a day at the Zoo on July 12th from 10:00 – 3:00. We will leave the church that morning at 8:00 and arrive back at 5:00. Children should bring a bagged lunch. Snacks will be provided. The cost per child is $6.00. The cost for adults is $10.00. CHILDREN'S NATURE CAMP!!!
Children ages 3-10 are invited to join us for our nature camp at Lake Benson this summer. This camp is a great opportunity for children to explore and enjoy the beauty of God's wonderful creation. As bug and plant detectives they will go on nature walks with their detective kits to capture animal tracks, make plant and animal observations, and identify plants, birds, and rocks. The children will also go to Yates Mill for a Nature Hike and fishing. Please visit the Children's Ministry Board or garnerumc.org for further information and a registration form. If you would like to volunteer please contact Carlene Lucas at the church office or email carlene.lucas@garnerumc.org
DOES IT REALLY MATTER?????????????
Read this and YOU tell me……… The men and women who join us each Saturday for a shower, meal, and fellowship are very thankful for your kindness, generosity, and compassion that you show them each week. One mentioned that he gets through the week just knowing that he's going to be here surrounded by love and friendship each Saturday and Sunday morning. He says that when he's faced with a difficult decision during the week he thinks of the people at Garner United Methodist and tries to make the better choice. Your love and kindness is making a difference in their lives. Oh, the smiles that come from getting a hot shower and a hot meal, and the joy that comes from having someone to listen to and treat you with respect. All of this you are doing for these men and women each and every week and for that we are forever grateful and thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ!!!
If you would like to become involved with HOPE Ministries please stop by one Saturday at 2:00. We need volunteers to stay each week to help out in the kitchen and help clean the bathrooms on a rotation basis. We also need coordinators for our toiletry items and laundry account. If interested in volunteering please contact Joe Koon or Carlene Lucas.
HOPE Ministries thanks you for sharing Christ's love with the world!!!!

After someone hit her and totaled the car, my 74 year old mom is looking for a used car. She does not have a lot of money to put into a car and realizes that she will not be driving for a many more years. Do you have an extra vehicle that was just too good to "give" to the car dealership that you look to get rid of now?? Or some other type scenario?? If you have such an animal, please contact me via return e-mail. Thanks so much, Al Sutton.
