CHURCH CHAT

LAW AND ORDER IS IN

So many reruns now, I am starting to watch the reruns of the reruns and CSI has gotten so familiar to me, I am able to do "read alongs" with the actors and can speak their lines before they do!!!  So what is there to do????  Get our selves to the church either on tomorrow night at 7 PM or Sunday for a matinee show at 3 PM to see the Youth Drama team present, "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown."

This will be a fresh perspective, it will be live, it will be different and it will be entertaining.  Also the place will be nice and cool and with the outside temps flirting with 100's you just can't lose!!!

And my goodness with mall riots, high fuel prices, wars and rumors of wars, and earthquakes and fires and financial doom and gloom, hen fire!!!  We all could use a break from the reported misery, pestilence and plague!!!!  Come and let the Youth Drama team take you away for a while…..You deserve it!!!

LET'S ALL GO TO LILLIE MAE'S!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow morning at 8:45 a work team will meet at the church and drive over to Lillie Mae's to do some generic yard work.  Bring tools to cut shrubs, rakes, gloves, and the like.  Lillie Mae's yard is NOT big at all and this should not take long at all.  One of the main things that will need to be done by this team will be to visit with Lillie Mae as she will be on the front porch watching!!!  Allen Curtis is heading up this team so if you have any questions, he'da man!!!  Again, this will not take long at all.  Come and let's put a smile on Lillie Mae's face!!!!!!!

LEAF OF GOLD

On the Memorial Tree has been given in honor of Sara Davis for her many years of teaching Sunday School.  This honor was sponsored by The Nannie Bryan Sunday School class.

MY ME!!!

The Track Out Program started out without a reputation and now it has one of the most favorable reputations in all of Garner.  Youngsters from throughout the area (and their parents) are finding this smaller setting (1 to 15 ratio) to be most favorable.  And go and do………these kids have been all over greater Wake County doing and going and having the greatest of fun!!!  "Spray(water)" parks, Putt-Putt Golf and Games, movies and more movies are just SOME of the offerings that Debbie and Melissa have found for the kids to be involved in.  Man, at the end of the day and at the end of their track out period the kids are crying cause they have to leave!!

Now that speaks VOLUMES!!!!!  Tell a friend (if you don't have kids of your own!!) about this great, fun, "letting a kid be a kid" type environment.  If you need more info on this program, or to down load an application here you go:   http://www.garnerumc.org/ministries/track_out_program.html

ARE WE ALL PILING

Onto a plane and heading to Haiti to help out this poor country??

Of course not.  But don't some of us want to help those persons that do want and can go???  Of course!!  Not everyone knows exactly what Mrs. Helen Little from Clayton does when she goes to Haiti, but the Reader's Digest had an article about Mrs. Helen recently and I have linked it here so you can better understand how your too small children's shoes helps in this mission project:
