WILLING TO ADAPT TOmeet a changing population!!!!!! Here's the latest:
Apparently it is difficult for some men, especially those with families, to make the Sunday 07:15 UMM meeting. It has been suggested that we have a mid-week meeting, in addition to our Sunday meeting, so that men who are unable to attend the Sunday meeting can participate in UMM fellowship and activities. Therefore, the Fellowship Hall has been reserved Thursday September 25, at 7:00 PM, for a general meeting of Garner United Methodist Men. See you there!!! Bob Creed.

This weekend begins the "bring in dates," for this Mission outreach. Thanks so much, Lee Ellen.
TOILET PAPER ROLLS NEEDED:
We are in need of a little help to collect toilet paper rolls after they are empty. They will be used for a project that we are going to be doing on an upcoming Sunday evening. When you get the rolls, just bring them with you to Sunday night children programming. Thanks for your help, Jeannie Ledford.
THIS WEEK'S MEMORY VERSE

TO ALL OF THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Remember our start-up "Fall Meal" will be this Tuesday evening, September 23. downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. We will hope to begin serving the meal just a few minutes after 6:00 p.m. so if you can plan to get there a bit early, it will help us. We will have our pot luck (and always delicious) meal, then Betty Ann Buckley will speak on life in the Holy Land. We will not have an actual meeting this evening, with the hope that we will be finished and everyone can get home before dark. Please plan to be with us - you will be GLAD that you supported the Garner United Methodist Women, thank you, Betty Jo Creed.
IF HE HAD HAIR.....
Mr. Bill Creech's hair would have been SOAKED on Tuesday past during all that rain, when he was outside at the church, running that Natural Gas line for the "retro" fitting of the downstairs stove. Mr. Bill Creech did get his line ran, but the company "retro" fitting the stove has not shown yet.....so I can't advise you any updates on this project.
BUT, I CAN advise you, "don't have a kitty kat," if you were planning on using the stove downstairs. We can take care of this........just chill out. It's all good.......Be at peace.
IN THE COMING WEEKS,
PLEASE pick up your "year to date church giving statements" as they are on the mirrored piece of furniture in the gathering area. ANY statement not picked up after a few weeks will be destroyed. To save on postage the ONLY financial statement that is mailed is the one at the end of the year. Can you hear me now???????
DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE
that is or has shown interest in finding out more about Garner church that is not a member???? Maybe a visitor in the children's department, or in one of the worship services, or one of the varied ministry opportunities?? If so: If you are interested in learning more about our church or have questions about becoming a member, mark your calendar now to drop in during one of our Wednesday Welcome sessions. The next session is October 1, 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Contact Martha Liles for more information.

SENIOR HIGH YOUTHS!!!!
Remember!!! NO Youth Group this SUNDAY!!!!! Hello!!!!! Senior High youth group will NOT meet this Sunday!!!!!!
THE RUSH TO GET INVOLVED
with this opportunity was so loud and hurried, I thought that I was in Pamplona Spain..
NOT!!!!!! So let's try this one more time:
Youth Parents - Please help our Youth Ministry by signing up to provide a snack supper for the youth. The supper should include a main dish, drink & dessert. We will reimburse you for your expenses for this meal so it won't cost you anything except your time. The youth will be asked to donate $3 to help defer the cost of these meals. Supper begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 6:30 so you would have to be available for preparing before 6 and clean up after 6:30. You also get to choose the menu. Sign up with another parent and share the fun is also another idea. Dates for the meals are Sept 28, Oct 19, Nov. 9 and Nov. 23. Sign up sheet is on the youth bulletin board or just email patricia@garnerumc.org and let her know what date you want. Several parents may sign up together also.
