REFUGE THIS WEEKEND!!
November 8th (this coming Saturday) is the last weekday scheduled for the Refuge this year. We will finish the walk bridge, but we need your help. Sign up on the bulletin board outside of the youth office or call Patricia at the church 772-2042. Work will also continue on the walls in the farm house. Let's take a team of about 20 down and get this work finished!
GO VOTE!!!!
You 501(c) folks don't have a cow, man....I am NOT ABOUT TO endorse one candidate over another or one political ideation over another....my purpose of this article is to endorse or promote our system of government. We as Americans become no more powerful than we do on election day. It was once asked by a foreign dignitary of an American diplomat, "why doesn't your country ever have a revolution," to which the American quipped back, "we do...every four years....." So today I guess I am not asking you so much to GO VOTE but rather GO REVOLT!!!! It's our way of life. Our survival as a nation hinges upon it. Our strength as a peoples is based upon it. And if for no other reason, please go vote so all that political mess on the television will STOP!!!! I never thought I would be so happy to see/hear the commercial about "...they don't call her Queen Tut for nuttin....." GO VOTE!!!!!!!!
PULL THE SIGNS!!!
After a great weekend of the Craft Fair, let's keep the "greatness," to continue!!! If you see one of the church's Craft Fair signs out in the community, PLEASE pull the sign and return it to the church. We can use the signs again next year. So PLEASE pull the signs, clean up the community, please don't have these now out dated signs to remain. Pull the signs!!!!!!!!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:
The Missions Team is collecting gift-filled shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Brochures are available outside the church office and boxes may be dropped off in the gathering area. All boxes are due on or before Sunday, November 23. Please contact Wendy Moore with any questions. Thanks! Wendy

The featured foods for Garner Area Ministries for the month of November are canned potatoes, canned yams, and canned greens (collards, turnips, etc.). Please place your donations in the collection box beside the elevator. Thanks! Wendy Moore.
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Patricia and the youth could not say thank you enough and to everyone individually, so they wanted to take to the "airways," and THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! For the great job that those of you who participated in this past weekend's Craft Fair. Patricia especially wanted to thank her cohorts "in crime," Patty Moore and Betty Jo Creed who were INVALUABLE in their time, service and dedication!!! Thank YOU!!! Thank YOU!!!! to EVERYONE who had a part or hand in this most successful endeavor!!!!!!
"THIS WAS ONE OF OUR BEST…..
shows!!!" This was what many of the comment cards from the vendors were reading like after this past weekend's Craft Fair. Concession sales were not all that great and some observers commented that the foot traffic was not all that great, but the vendors were commenting that sales, for them, were brisk!!! With the economy like it is, with the election right here upon us, to have things go as good as they did on Saturday was PHENOMENAL!!!! Praise God!!!!!!
THREE HUGE EVENTS....
back to back to back.....First it was the Fall Festival on 26 October with so many kids, having so much fun just running and playing and screaming and hollering and playing games....then.......the next week, during the week, the Preschool had
their Halloween event in this area and again it was more of the same from children (and adults, but don't tell anyone that part....). Then this past weekend, the gym was jammed packed again with vendors and concessions and eating areas and the like. Oh man!!! How BLESSED Garner Church is to have such a facility that it has now!!! In your prayers, have you THANKED God for His goodnesses to Garner Church??????
LET'S TRY THIS ONE AGAIN....
cause I know with the light response that we have seen on this one it's not that you don't give a rip, it's just that you didn't see it......
Drink machine in need of: Diet Coke (machine is OUT!!), Coke (very low), Diet Mt. Dew (low but not out), Dr. Pepper (machine is OUT!!!). REMEMBER....."ALL" proceeds from the sales of the drink machine are poured RIGHT BACK into Garner church!!! Help yourself by helping the drink machine..........Special note: Pepsi products are on sale Two 12 packs for $5 at the filling station beside Smithfield BBQ on Jones Sausage Road.......(hint...hint).
TAKEN BUT NOT RETURNED...(repeat cause nothing happened the first time we ran this): Looking for Church LCD Projector (Computer). Small projector for use with laptops was borrowed a while back and has not been returned. If you or your group still has it please return to Office or storage area it belongs in. Thank you, David West.
CAMP DON LEE GOERS!!!!!
Registration money of $60 for Camp Don Lee is now due. Money was due LAST Sunday, but, of course, we are still taking funds until all are paid. We now have 54 spaces filled for Camp Don Lee. It is going to be an amazing weekend, so keep it covered in prayer. Patricia
WHEN USING SPACE...(reminder)
Please remember when you use a Church space/room to return it to condition of how you found it. Chairs, desks, etc back in original location. Thanks for this, concerned frequent user of church facility.
