50 PLUS!!!............WASN'T THERE SOMETHING ABOUT A 50+ GROUP????
The GPS! This stands for "Garner Pairs & Spares" and is targeted to adults aged 50 and older. For couples, at least one spouse must be over the age of 50. Our focus is on in-reach: getting to know our fellow church family members, having a good time, doing fun things, and making new friends. We have exciting ideas for the coming year, including picnics, movie nights, concerts, and travel and we hope you'll want to be a part of this dynamic group! The first event we have planned is an evening with Elvis! Keith Henderson presents "Illusions of the King" at Linshire by the Pond in Fuquay-Varina on Satruday, February 14, 2009. Tickets are $25 and includes a country buffet dinner. We are ordering 35 tickets for our group. This show is usually sold out, so we cannot guarantee that we can order more. To make your reservation, contact Ina Wiggins at 772-3292 or Dora Aman at 779-4445 before December 1. To find out more about GPS, see one of the committee members: Dora Aman, Marjorie Barefoot, Terri Leeman, Sandra Thompson, Raymond Wanchock, and Ina Wiggins.
