COFFEE'S READY!!!!
Love coffee?  Love to serve with a great group of people?  If you are interested in assisting with Holy Java cafe, I can put you to work!  You can decide whether you want o be the one the gets everything together and has a helper during the rush, or you can just act as a helper from 9:20 until about 9:50ish.  I will be putting together the schedule for the first quarter of 2009 soon, so just let me know if you want to experience the life of a Holy Barista!  Stacie Hagwood  662-1568 or slh@pobox.com

WHAT DOES THAT STINKING

YOUTH TO ROAST SOME DOGS!!!
This Sunday Nov. 23rd the youth will meet at the church at 4 PM where they will drive over to the  Snead's farm and Make God love Real through a time of fun, cook out, hayride and worship.  Tracie & Gra Singleton will be providing hot dogs to roast over an open fire, we will take a hayride then return to the fire for a time of worship and communion.  Robert Hunter will be there to lead our music.  All that is needed is YOU!  See you there, Patricia!!!

YO!!......... YOUTH!!!
Youth will not meet on Sunday November 30th - Enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday with your family.

WHAT HAPPENS IN DON LEE......
does not STAY in Don LEE!!!  PRAISE GOD!!!!  You have been seeing the phrase "Making God's Love Real" pop up in many different ways.  This weekend at Camp Don Lee God's Love became very real to many of our youth, some for the first time.  The week before the trip was filled with unanswered questions about transportation then 20 minutes before we are scheduled to leave we find a nail in the bus tire.  With all the "road bumps" that keep coming up it was evident that something BIG was going to happen in the lives of the youth and adults that were going.  The whole weekend theme was on finding the Kingdom of God and God's Kingdom was made known throughout our time there.  Many fun and funny things occurred like pies in the face and being thrown in mud puddles, fun was had with the polar bear plunge as the weather warmed up enough to actually swim a little, the rain mostly came as we were in buildings and sunshine came out when we were in the fields playing.  The wind died out just in time for the fire at the cross on the beach and as Sammy Hudson talked about being cleansed a light rain fell  as a symbol of our cleansing and then stopped. The weekend ended Sunday morning with a time of communion, but God's Kingdom continues on as the youth have now returned home.  Keep these youth in your prayers that they will begin to find time to study and pray daily, will learn to love and pray for those who they find it hard to love, and together as a church we will continue Making God's Love Real.  If you see Jimmy Kelly, be sure to ask him, "What was that in your hair this weekend??"  Patricia.

JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS
come dream with us....Dec 14th Supper at 5 PM  Show at 6PM
The youth creative arts ministry will be presenting an original script along with some of your favorite Christmas music.  The youth met and came up with some ideas, Lisa Ullman has written the script, Missy Godfrey will be playing the piano and Alicia Howell will be directing.  A delicious meal of Meatloaf, Chicken, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes will be served up by Annette Garrison and crew before the performance.  No cost tickets will be needed for the dinner to help us prepare for numbers and will be available the next two Sunday's.   A love offering will be collected.  Thank you for your support, Patricia.

BRING THEM BACK!!!
This Sunday is the "drop dead," return date for the Operation Christmas Child packages!!!  Already have started to see a trickling in of these boxes so PLEASE don't forget to get yours back in THIS SUNDAY!!!!!!!!

WHO ARE THEY?????????????
If you have been to the church on a Tuesday or Thursday night, you may have observed a very diverse population here at the church.  They are diverse ethnically, gender, age, size, etc.  This described group may in fact be the church's GED program here at the church.  These persons are here, trying to better themselves and your church is allowing them a place, to come, learn and advance.  Most of the time you will not see this group unless they are going to or from class OR you may encounter them at the back entrance to the church smoking a cigarette, during their break,  IN THE DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA around the butt can.  Speak to these folks.  Be friendly.  Welcome them to God's house.  If, at ANY time, ANY group using this church (whether it be one of our own groups or an outside group) says or does something that makes you feel uncomfortable, LET SOME ONE KNOW!!!!
