Financial Peace University: Starting at the beginning of April, Garner UMC will offer Dave Ramsey’s Biblically-based course Financial Peace University.

In today’s economy I’m sure most of us would like to learn more about or even improve our personal financial situation. Did you know that there are over 800 Scriptures regarding personal finance? FPU teaches stewardship and how to manage 100% of what God has given.

Over a course of 13 weeks Dave Ramsey will teach on various areas including saving, dumping debt, and planning for the future. There will be a free 30-minute preview meeting at 5:30pm in the Church Library on Sunday, March 14th and 6:30pm in the Church Library on Tuesday, March 16. Relay for Life BBQ Chicken Dinner

During the month of March, we all pull together in the fight against cancer as we support Relay for Life. On March 26, we sponsor our annual BBQ Chicken dinner, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. There’s a job for everyone----cooking, assembling plates, preparing desserts, serving in the dining room, delivering take-out plates at lunch, and cleaning up. Sign up on our Relay board in the gathering area for the tasks and times that suit you.

Race of Grace Weekent

The Weekend of Grace unites athletes and amateurs, friends and strangers. For three inspirational days, we golf, walk, run, bike, and believe in a common cause. Our mission: to alleviate the suffering of the poor among us, especially those affected by hunger, homelessness, and a lack of adequate healthcare.
