1. Help us host the homeless through Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network (WIHN) by serving as an overnight host, provide food for sack lunches, launder linens at the end of the week, or prepare evening meals. Contact Patty Moore, Lisa Nickalson or Amy Chalk. Scheduled one week each quarter.
2. Help us with our homeless outreach through Project Hope. Volunteers needed (especially males) to drive the van, help serve meals, and clean up after guests leave. Contact Carlene Lucas. Scheduled every Saturday.
3. Volunteers need to learn to operate the sound system and recording system. Training will be provided and volunteers will be asked to rotate for worship services and other programs. Contact Martha Liles.
4. Nursery helpers needed for worship services and special programs. Contact Tracey SIngleton or Cheryl Rand.
5. Office Help: Prepare bulk mailings, answer phones, enter attendance records, general office help. If you would be willing to be called upon in times of need, please contact Kathleen in the church office.
6. Cooks and Servers needed to assist with church fellowship meals, serving bereaved families and other special needs. If you are willing to be called in times of need, contact Martha Liles.
7. Youth Sunday School teachers for 11:00 Sunday school. Contact Patricia for more information.
8. Volunteers are needed to tutor adults in basic education. We invite and welcome all to volunteer as an adult basic education tutor. Teaching adult literacy is a rewarding experience for tutors as you will build a special friendship and feel a sense of accomplishment as your student reaches his/her goals.
