LIBRARY

The Garner United Methodist Church Memorial Library History

New Books:

The Garner Memorial Library has a long and rich history over the years as it has grown. The library current collection includes books that are both Fiction and Non-Fiction, the majority of them Christian books or books based on Christian values.  We also have a small collection of books on tapes and videos. Our children’s section offers fiction, non-fiction, videos, golden books and board books for the very young.  The library is always open for members to come in and check out a book.

Many members have generously donated books to our library.  When you finish reading a Christian book you have purchased, why not donate it to the library so others may have the opportunity to read it?  Donated books are also a lasting way to honor a loved one as a memorial or an honorarium.  The library still needs many titles on the shelves and the ability to put newly published titles into the collection in a timely manner.

Our library is also in the process of growth as we become automated and redesign the children’s area. For more information or to volunteer to help prepare books for the shelves, contact Patricia Suttle at the church by phone or e-mail.
