Men
of Faith
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If
one falls down, his friend can help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they
will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes
4: 9-12
To live a life pleasing and acceptable to the Lord is a never-ending challenge
in today's world. We are constantly bombarded with a world view that in many
respects is a direct contradiction to the commands of Christ. Scripture teaches
that having others to share our burdens, triumphs and spiritual development
is an effective way of living a more godly life.
The Men of Faith is a men's prayer and accountability group. There are 2 sessions
available to those interested, every Wednesday morning for an hour, starting
at 6:00 am and every Wednesday evening for 1 hour, starting at 7:30 pm. We
enjoy fellowship as we study God's word, explore relevant life issues, and
seek to understand what it means to live a godly life. We participate in the
life of the church through various service activities, as well as participate
in and sponsor outreach ministries. We are not men who have all the answers,
but rather seek to learn from the Holy Spirit, Scripture and the life experiences
of group members.
Who are the strands, which make up the cord of your life? If you are
interested in learning more, the Men of Faith invite you to join us on Wednesday
mornings/evenings (or both).
