Music is an essential part of worship at Garner United Methodist Church. Through music we offer our thanks and praise and share our time, talent, and energy in service to God. Music lifts our souls, opens our hearts, unites our spirits, and enriches our lives.

A variety of opportunities to serve through music can be found at Garner United Methodist Church. Our chancel choir is a gifted group of singers who enjoys rehearsing and singing together.  The choir practices on Wednesday evenings and sings at both traditional Sunday morning services (8:30 and 11:00).  Our handbells rehearse on Wednesday evenings as well.  Handbells play in worship seasonally, usually 4 – 5 times each year.  Members of the congregation who play other instruments are also encouraged to participate through playing in worship services.  Those interested in singing or playing in our traditional worship services should contact Ray Newlin at 919-772-2042.

Journey of Grace Band provides music for our contemporary service (Sunday mornings at 10:40).  JOG members practice on Tuesday evenings.  Instrumentalists and singers who would like to participate in the praise band should contact Robert Hunter at 919-772-2042.
