UMM Scholarship Deadline March 30

The United Methodist Men are accepting scholarship applications for the 2007-08 school year.  Applications are available on the forms page or from the church office. The application deadline is March 30, 2008.

Activities of the GUMC Methodist MenSpecial note: 
Each and every man is automatically part of Methodist Men. You are invited to ALL activities and functions. All you have to do is show up. Call one of us if you need a ride!

• Methodist Men Monthly Breakfast
• First Sunday of each month.
• 7:15am in the Fellowship Hall.
• Breakfast cooked and served. (Show up early if you’d like to help.)
• Agenda includes fellowship, a great breakfast, updates on activities and plans, occasional special guest, and fellowship. (Listed fellowship twice because that’s one of the best parts.)
  
  
• Men of Faith
• Every Wednesday morning at 6-7:00am in the Room 211-Fellowship Class
• Yes sir, you read that right, we start at 6:00am! But look on the bright side, at that time of the morning you won’t fight a bit of traffic!
• Every Wednesday evening at 7-8:00pm in the Holy Java Cafe
• These Men of Faith groups offer some of the best fellowship, support, accountability, friendship, life insights, and some very special unique connections into the Word of God that you have to be there to understand.
• These Men of Faith groups have filled the needs and holes in many lives. The door is open and you are invited and welcome.
  
  
• Basketball
  
• Every Wednesday evening at 8:00pm. (arrive a little early ok too)
• Pick-up teams. Played for fun.
• Another great chance to meet new folks and friends.
  
  
• Boy Scouts
• Go to www.troop391.com to find out all the details planned for the Boy Scouts.
• Troop 391 is a Boy Scouts of America affiliation that has been sponsored by Methodist Men at the Garner United Methodist Church since 1956! That’s 50 yrs!. Troop 391 is a member of the Hemlock District and Occoneechee Council. We meet on Monday nights, 7-8:30pm, on the second floor.
