Ladies Link, Volume 4, Issue One, Spring 2008 Available

The Garner United Methodist Unit of the United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. Additional, UMW's purpose is to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. It is a group of Ordinary People with an Extraordinary Mission! All women of the church community are invited to become members of Garner UMW and a circle of their choice. There are currently three active circles: Unity (meets in the morning), Lorena Kelly (meets in the afternoon) and Elizabeth Rand (meets in the evening). The fourth circle is the Mary Magdalene Circle which is a service-oriented circle. All general meetings are scheduled during the months of September through May. The September and May meetings include a Salad Supper or a Covered Dish Supper and are held at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There is a summer break or variation in meetings scheduled for each circle. Please contact the church office or the UMW President, Betty Jo Creed (661-1321) for more information.
