“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the
believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
We are committed to being the hands and feet of Christ, drawing youth into fellowship and developing in them a closer personal relationship with Jesus Christ through worship, service, study, prayer and outreach. We welcome 6-12 grade students, from all walks of life to join us on the journey toward a deeper faith and stronger relationship with God and others!
We seek to make all our youth ministry gatherings fun and inviting; so youth will not only want to come, but will want to bring their friends as well. Garner United Methodist Church offers youth a wide range of classes and opportunities for spiritual growth and relationship development throughout the year, all planned and overseen by trained adult leaders and youth representatives. Whether the activity is a Bible study, a retreat at a camp, a mission work project, or a Sunday evening UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) night, the youth are constantly challenged to grow within the body of Christ.
ONGOING YOUTH ACTIVITIES:
GUMY Sunday School: Sundays 9:30-10:30am
Youth (6-12th Grade) gather together on Sunday mornings for prayer and study in the Youth Room
GUMYF (Garner United Methodist Youth Fellowship): Sundays 5-7pm

Youth parents are asked to help with providing a meal each week and will often be called upon to help by driving or participating in various events!
